Shingleback

Shingleback

The shingleback is a personable member of the Blue Tongue Lizards family. Widespread and abundant, it is known by many different regional names: sleepy lizard, bobtail, stumpy tail, pine cone lizard and boggi all refer to the same cute little blighter. Although the shingleback tries hard to look tough, it’s hard to pull it off when you lack teeth and eat flowers. But at least it’s got a blue tongue!
